Soft at first I heard it play through two speakers on the side of my stereo
I changed to earphones because this was not for the world to hear this was for me
I found something that was made for many to hear but only me to feel…
It was very simple no lyrics needed the voice would have made it his…
It was a few keys in a piano played easy no rough beat or drum to spoil its sensitivity…
Soft on the ears good for my heart…
Some may have called it imperfect but to me this was as good as it could sound…
Any alterations would have changed it completely killing the song itself…
It wouldn’t be the same…
I wouldn’t be the same…
It found me as much as I found it
It needed me to appreciate it
As I needed it to embrace me
For it was my first
This song would echo in my mind for ever…
As my feet step to it…
heart pumps to it…
And breath blows to it
Tears not of joy or sadness filled my eyes
